Visa DPS Deconversion

Visa DPS/DAS will not process claims in conjunction with QFD, so a deconversion from DPS needs to happen in order to begin submitting claims in QFD. DPS requires 8 weeks notice to deconversion, so it’s important that this is intricately planned. Visa only does credential updates on Tuesdays so it’s critical to coordinate go live with this in mind (ideally 10 days prior to the Tuesday DPS finishes deconversion).

As go-live approaches, transitioning generally follows these guidelines:

  1. Client stops filing new cases in legacy app, and moves intake to QFD

  2. QFD intentionally disables Visa to force Enrichment to fail

    1. Claims will be frozen prior to enrichment awaiting completed deconversion

  3. Legacy claims are bottomed out as much as possible for the next 10 business days

    1. This step cannot exceed 10 business days for regulatory management

  4. On day 11, QFD restores the Visa connection to push Enrichment through

  5. Any remaining legacy cases that were in-flight will need to be manually worked through VROL for the next 30-45 calendar days

How will this impact Chargebacks?

  • Visa network transactions will be automated - QFD will process them, complete applicable questionnaires, and catch responses/decisions

  • Alt-Network transactions will have to be keyed into VROL manually
