Chargeback Reason

One (1) of the following:

  • The merchant either failed to obtain a valid Authorization for a Transaction that exceeded the Network Floor Limit, or
  • The merchant failed to obtain a single Authorization for the full amount of the Transaction, or
  • The Authorization was requested by the S/Emerchant, was declined or reversed, and the merchant submitted the Transaction for Payment, or
  • The Authorization for the Transaction is greater than seven (7) days before the Network Processing Date of the Presentment, or
  • The merchant failed to adhere to the policy requirements for Expresspay Transactions conducted at TATs

Description

The Issuer may charge back a Transaction using this Chargeback ISO Code under one (1) of the following circumstances:

  1. The Issuer receives a Transaction that exceeds the Network Floor Limit and was not Authorized for the full amount in a single Authorization Request. The Authorization may be requested by one (1) of the following:
    1. The Issuer, or
    2. The Network if done during the Stand-In process, or
    3. By a Chip Card application.
  2. The merchant requested an Authorization that was declined or reversed and the merchant submitted the declined Transaction for payment. The Authorization Request may be declined by either the Issuer, by the Network if done during Stand-In, or Offline by a Chip Card.
  3. The merchant obtained Authorization for a Transaction, but the S/E merchant or Acquirer waited more than seven (7) days to submit the Transaction for payment.
