The "Contact Date Override" action allows users to manually adjust the contact date which is the date that the claim was created. Because this action impacts regulation deadlines, it's important that users take this action under their manager's guidance.
To change the claim's contact date, select the "Contact Date Override" option from the Actions drop-down.

Use the calendar tool to select the new contact date. The new contact must be between the earliest disputed transaction date and today's date. Click the "Submit" button to complete the override.

If the user selects a date outside of the permitted timeframe (earliest disputed transaction date and today's date), an error message will be displayed.
