Applied to all consumer credit account claims.

Tip
titleDisable Protection for Consumer Disputes

Based on our interpretations of Regulation E and Regulation Z, the following claims reasons are not technically covered.

  • Counterfeit
  • Damaged / Defective
  • Late Presentment
  • Merchandise/Service Not Provided (Covered by Regulation Z, but not Regulation E.)
  • Misrepresentation
  • Not as Described
  • Quality

As of version 3.13, protection for these consumer dispute claim reasons can be disabled for Regulation E and/or Regulation Z by updating Client Settings.  This will prevent any automation of provisional and permanent credits.  Additionally, it will set the "anticipated resolution date" that is communicated in the Confirmation letter to default to "90 days".
