This flow is executed to set the necessary regulatory claim service level agreements to ensure regulatory requirements are satisfied. The system evaluates the claim to determine which regulation is applicable and generates the necessary system assignments to track progress and execute actions, as necessary.
Regulation E
Applied to all deposit account claims.
Regulation Z
Applied to all consumer credit account claims.
Disable Protection for Consumer Disputes
Based on our interpretations of Regulation E and Regulation Z, the following claims reasons are not technically covered.
- Counterfeit
- Damaged / Defective
- Late Presentment
- Merchandise/Service Not Provided (Covered by Regulation Z, but not Regulation E.)
- Misrepresentation
- Not as Described
- Quality
As of version 3.13, protection for these consumer dispute claim reasons can be disabled for Regulation E and/or Regulation Z by updating Client Settings. This will prevent any automation of provisional and permanent credits. Additionally, it will set the "anticipated resolution date" that is communicated in the Confirmation letter to default to "90 days".
