Overview

The QFD Version 23.01release of QFD is compatible with mandate changes for 23.1.  Mandate changes will take effect immediately.

Impact Summary

Based on the research conducted, the following changes were identified as impacts to QFD.

4837 Dependency Change
  • As a system, after 4/14/2023 users do not have chargeback rights under reason code ‘No Cardholder Authorization-4837’ to dispute a merchant-initiated transaction (MIT) that the issuer or cardholder determines is related to a prior authenticated cardholder-initiated transaction (CIT) identified with Security Level Indicator (SLI) values of 211, 212, 215, 217, 221, 222, 225, 242.

As a result of our analysis of Visa's documentation, the following changes have been implemented in the mandates release of QFD.

Removed the Security Level Indicator (SLI) values 241 & 245 were removed from validation. If the SLI cannot be validated the dependency is set to Indeterminate and require chargeback review.
