Overview
Quavo aims to ensure the stability, performance, and security of our systems through logging and monitoring. Datadog and CloudWatch are used to monitor performance in staging and production environments.
Datadog
Datadog is utilized to collect logs from many services, applications, and platforms including AWS. This allows seamless navigation between logs, metrics, and request traces. DataDog allows alerts to be generated on any metric or condition for a single host or for an entire cluster. The resulting notifications can be sent in various channels including e-mail and pager duty.
CloudWatch
Amazon CloudWatch collects and visualizes real-time logs, metrics, and event data in automated logs. These logs are shipped to Datadog and are reviewed daily.
