When an amount is calculated in Interest, an accounting step is generated in Interest Maintenance to refund the interest that was charged. This is executed during Final Processing when a dispute is resolved.
Extension: Immediate Interest Maintenance
To configure your application to complete the interest refund immediately after interest is calculated, update ShouldPerformImmediateInterestRefundExtension.
