Part 2: Assignment Work

Part 2: Assignment Work

Overview

Case work is an essential part of the back-office analyst role. The following pages define Assignment Groups and work prioritization and explain how to complete manual user tasks.

We'll begin this training block by defining Assignment Groups, summarizing each group, then diving into common user tasks in the following groups:

  • Daily Maintenance
  • Initial Review
  • Next Recovery Deadline
  • Later Lifecycle

The reason why we focus on the work in the above groups is because the other Assignment Groups can have any and all user tasks available to work in them. By learning how to complete the common tasks in the above groups, we'll effectively know how to complete work in all assignment groups.

Due to the nature of go-lives and migrations, you may need to train all analysts how to work in all groups. For subsequent trainings, we recommend training how to work only one Assignment Group at a time.
