Good Faith

Good Faith

The good faith pend reason is available for non-card disputes.  This pend option will allow users to pend the dispute for up to 30 days while they pursue a good faith request with the originating institution.  When this pend option is selected, the user will be prompted to send the Good Faith letter.  This letter is meant for the originating institution and can be transmitted via any of the following, configured correspondence channels: mail, email or local print.

While pending, the Pending Good Faith assignment will be displayed in the claim.

When a good faith request is pending response, a question will prompt users that attach documents to the claim to specify whether the document is a response to the good faith request.  If the user answers "Yes", the attachment category will be set to "Good Faith" and an assignment will be generated to prompt a back-office user to review the response and review available recovery options.
