This following contains the summary of all the 22.2 Compliance changes for Visa, Mastercard and Amex.
Visa 22.2
- RTSI/DPSI Transaction Inquiry function of requesting Additional Merchant Purchase information was previously defaulted to False. The updated change will remove the default value of False and align with the application behavior. A True value indicates Additional Merchant Information is requested.
- Purchase information Available - If purchase information is available about the transaction in dispute, the intake question "Provide detailed description of what was purchased and an explanation of the dispute" is an optional dependency.
- New Intake Question - For Cancelled Merchandise claims, the intake question "Did the cardholder cancel before the ship date?" has been added for when the cardholder received the cancelled merchandise.Â
Mastercard 22.2
- Automated Fuel Dispenser Chargeback protection limits have increased. On a corporate card, if a transaction was authorized for $1 at an automated fuel dispenser, only the amount of the transaction greater than $500 is eligible for chargeback. For any other cards, if a transaction was authorized for $1 at an automated fuel dispenser on any other card, only the amount of the transaction greater than $175 is eligible for chargeback.
