MC Arb Chargeback Response

When an arbitration chargeback is executed in MC Arb Chargeback, this flow is executed and a response is awaited.

The issuer may recall the pre-arbitration case at any time before a response is received by selecting Other Actions > Recall.

When a response is received in the queue, the systems retrieves the response details from Mastercom.  If Mastercom is not configured, a user must record the response by completing the ArbChargeback assignment and recording one of the following response.

  • Accept - The flow is exited and the dispute is resolved as paid.
  • Inbound Arbitration - The MC Inbound Arbitration flow is executed.

If no response is received or recorded by the ArbChargeback assignment deadline, the No Response Received flow action is automatically executed by the system, the flow is exited and the dispute is resolved as paid.  This flow action can also be executed by a user.

When any of these responses are received, a recovery action is recorded in Recovery Action History.

If an unsupported response is received from the Mastercom system, an ArbChargeback Failed assignment is generated and prompts a user to review the details and record a supported response.

If a reject queue items is received from Mastercom, the Rejected flow action is automatically executed by the system and a user will be prompted to review the reject and re-process the arbitration chargeback, or cancel recovery.  This flow action can also be executed by a user.
