Mastercard Dispute Legacy
The legacy flow for Mastercard Disputes applies only to disputes that enter this flow on, or before, the date set in LegacyConversionCutoverDateTime. If there is no value in LegacyConversionCutoverDateTime, then 4am GMT (midnight EDT) on 4/17/2020 is used. This setting allows testers to set an earlier date and validate the workflow or customize for local timezone. All new disputes will use the new Mastercard Dispute flow.
When a dispute enters the Mastercard recovery strategy this is the first flow that is executed. A Process Chargeback assignment is generated and prompts a user to satisfy all dependencies and submit the chargeback via an external system. The system then evaluates the setting mentioned above and determines if the legacy flow should be executed or the new version.
- If the legacy flow is executed, a Pending Chargeback Document Upload assignment is generated and displayed for 1 day, allowing case set up in the Mastercom system to be completed. Once that SLA expires, the system generates an Upload Chargeback Documents assignment, which will prompt a user to upload the Dispute Resolution Form and any other necessary documents to the case in the Mastercom user portal. The legacy flow (not documented here), which includes the arbitration chargeback, is then resumed.
- If the new flow is executed, the Upload Documents flow is called, and, once complete, the Dispute Response flow is then executed while the system awaits a response.
