Visa Enrichment

When a Visa transaction is disputed and RTSI is enabled, this flow is executed to retrieve additional details about the transaction.  The system will attempt to match the transaction with one in the Visa system.  If multiple possible matches are returned, a Select Transaction assignment is generated and includes the following flow actions.

Match From Potential Transactions

The primary flow action prompts the user to select a match from a list of potential matches returned by the service. 

The application will not let a user select the same potential transaction for multiple disputes.  When the screen loads any transactions returned that are already matched to a disputed transaction will not be displayed.  If the user attempts to match the same transaction to multiple disputes while in the bulk process view a error will be displayed with the text below.

"Possible match has been applied to multiple disputes. Please select another matching transaction."

Enrich Manually

Optionally, the user may complete the enrichment task manually by selecting Enrich Manually from the Other Actions menu.

Once a match is made, the system will retrieve the transaction details.  These details can be viewed by clicking on the Additional Details link for the disputed transaction.

Error Handling

When a call to Visa to enrich a dispute transaction fails, it is handled in one of two ways:

  1. If the error was due to the transaction not being found and the posting date of the disputed transaction is within the last 3 business days, the system will continue to call to service every 24 hours until the posted transaction is more than 3 business days old.  It has been observed that clearing records can take up to 3 business days to exist in the service.
  2. If the error was due to any other reason, the system will call the service every 12 hours for up to 3 attempts.
