American Express Inbound Good Faith

American Express Inbound Good Faith

When a acquirer does not believe the dispute can be resolved in the dispute life a good faith can be initiated.  The inbound good faith could be received from both the American Express Pending Chargeback Response or American Pending Final Chargeback Response flows.  This action is manually triggered by a user and is sent into the Inbound Good Faith flow to be reviewed.

Review Inbound Good Faith

This primary flow action displays the Inbound Good Faith details to the user and prompts them to take one of the following issuer actions.

  • Accept
  • Decline

When full or partial liability is accepted, the user is prompted to complete the Final Investigation Flow for the amount accepted.

When liability is declined or partially accepted, the user is prompted to provide additional details and pursue further options.  In this case the acquirer will need to either pursue compliance or arbitration to continue the dispute.
