Visa Arbitration Response

When arbitration is executed in Execute Arbitration in the Visa Collaboration flow, or the merchant files arbitration in Visa Allocation, this flow is executed while a ruling is awaited from Visa.

RTSI

If RTSI is enabled, the Pending Arbitration Acknowledgement assignment is displayed in the Disposition step while awaiting acknowledgment from Visa.  Once acknowledged, a Pending Arbitration Ruling assignment is displayed in the Disposition step while awaiting a ruling.  In both instances, the system will call daily to retrieve an updated case filing status.  If the case is rejected, the Visa Arbitration Lost flow is executed.

Manual Environments

If RTSI is not enabled, an Arbitration assignment is displayed in the Disposition step.  A user will process the Association Ruling Received action to resume the flow when a ruling is received from Visa.

Withdraw

An issuer may withdraw its Arbitration attempt within 7 calendar days from the Visa acknowledgement date and will be assigned financial liability.  If a case is withdrawn, Visa will debit or credit through Visa Resolve Online (VROL) the Member accepting responsibility, if necessary, based on the final determination of responsibility for the dispute amount.  To withdraw a case filing, select the Withdraw Case Filing flow action from the Other Actions menu of a pending arbitration assignment.  For more details, see Visa Withdraw Case Filing.

Ruling Received

When a ruling is received by the system, or a user processes the Association Ruling Received action on the Arbitration assignment, the action will be recorded in the Recovery Action History and the Review Arbitration Response flow is executed.
