Overview

The case update flow is used to perform the following types of updates for Mastercard case filings.

  • Accept: Inbound Arbitration cases that are accepted by a user.  NOTE: This action will assume full liability for the amount of the case filing on behalf of the issuer.

  • Escalate: Pre-Arbitration case that are escalated to arbitration by a user.

  • Withdraw: Pre-Arbitration or Arbitration cases that are withdrawn by a user.  NOTE: This action will assume full liability for the amount of the case filing on behalf of the issuer.

 

If Mastercom is not configured, Execute Case Update is generated and includes the following flow actions.

 

If Mastercom is enabled, Pend Case Update Service is generated while a case is created via service call.  If the integration fails, Case Update Service Failed is generated and prompts a user to perform the action via the Mastercom user portal or retry the service call.
